Protection of Property

1. Removing and replacement of furniture and decorative valuables are done with the utmost of care unless you wish to accomplish this by other means. By “clearing the deck” our craftsmen have free and necessary access to their project. We also remove switch plates, door and window hardware, and any items that may hinder the most “eye-pleasing” finish possible. If an item is not removable it is masked off to protect from splatters.

2. Hard surface floors (wood, granite, marble, tile) are usually protected by covering with construction grade flooring paper and tape. Carpets are covered with clean canvas drop cloths.

Preparation for Painting

Any finish painting is only as sound and visually pleasing as the quality of the preparation work that precedes the paint. Because our concern is to give you the most value for you dollar, we leave no stone unturned in our preparation for painting of your walls, doors and trim. We insure the cleanliness of the surfaces to be painted by cleaning any oils from day to day handling by wiping with a mild soap and water solution or solvent when necessary. In giving you a fine finished appearance, all cracks, gaps, holes, and voids are filled with the appropriate compound and matched to the surrounding surface as close as possible. All surfaces are sanded, patched, re-sanded, priming where necessary. Excellent preparation is the key to fine finish painting.

3. Not all paints are created equal. Quality Commitment Painting uses only the finest painting products available to our trade, our climate and our corner of the world. The paint and coatings we apply have been time-tested and successfully applied in such places as Walt Disney World Resort, the Breakers Hotel in Palm Beach, and in many finer homes in Palm Beach County. We apply these products with the highest standard of craftsmanship and according to the manufacturer’s specifications guaranteeing the finest look possible for your home. This also assures you that if the product should fail the manufactures warranty, steps will be taken to correct it.

4. During the course of your painting project, all steps are taken to maintain a clean environment by removing trash daily. After completion of your project, all tools, equipment, and excess material are also removed and disposed of with the highest concern for the common environment in which we live.
